Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Application

The Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation offers four PGY-I positions for the residency training program. These postgraduate residents are chosen through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). A completeERAS application (personal statement with CV and USMLE scores, three letters of recommendation in addition to a Dean's letter and medical school transcripts) is required for your file to be complete. All applications must be submitted via the Electronic Application Service (ERAS) before December 31, 2015.

The following is a list of commonly asked questions and program requirements:

  • USMLE or COMLEX scores: step 1 passing and step 2 passing (if exam has been taken)
  • Our institution sponsor's H-1B and J1 visas
  • Regulations require H-1B holders to complete and pass all 3 steps of the USMLE
  • ECFMG certification is required before applying to the program and need to be valid
  • No prior US clinical experience is required
  • Application review begins in September
