Peter Tucker, M.D., MBA, FAAFP
Program Director, Beaumont Health Family Medicine Residency, Grosse Pointe
Associate Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine

Dr. Tucker received his undergraduate degree from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA.  He completed medical school at the University of California, San Francisco, and his residency in Family Medicine at Kaiser Permanente in Orange County.  After completing his training, Dr. Tucker entered active duty in the US Air Force, and worked as a faculty physician at the Travis AFB Family Medicine Residency Program.  Since leaving the military, Dr. Tucker has held faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania, Henry Ford Health System, and Beaumont Health. He is returning to the program director position after serving as the Chief of Family Medicine at Beaumont, Royal Oak, and having completed his MBA and the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business. His special interests include medical education, community medicine and population health, and end-of-life care (Dr. Tucker received board certification in Hospice and Palliative Care in 2012).



James Rosbolt, D.O., MSPH

Assistant Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine

Dr. Rosbolt received his undergraduate degree in chemistry from University of Great Falls and his Masters in Science in Public Health from the University of South Florida. He obtained his medical degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his family medicine residency at WSU/DMC followed by a residency in Occupational and Environment Medicine at Wayne State University. His special interests include preventive medicine, family medicine and obstetrics.


Donna Manczak, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine

Dr. Manczak received her B.A. degree in psychology and sociology from Michigan State University. She attended the University of Michigan where she obtained a Master's in Public Health. She received her doctorate in human development /counseling psychology from Michigan State University. She received certification in family therapy from the University of Denver. She also earned an M.A. in clinical psychology from the Michigan School of Professional Psychology. Her area of interest is primary care psychology.


Paula Kim, M.D.
Associate Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine

Dr. Kim received a B.A. in biology from the University of Rochester in New York and her M.D. degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine.  She completed a family medicine residency at Oakwood Hospital.  She has Certification of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine and is a certified medical director in Long Term Care.  She serves on the Advisory Board of Beaumont Diabetes Education Program. She is Clinical Professor of Family Medicine at Wayne State University.


Jennifer D. Kowalkowski, Ph.D.
Assistant Professor, Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine

Dr. Kowalkowski received her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Western Michigan University’s Lee Honors College. She obtained her Master’s degree in behavior analysis from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Her doctoral degree was earned from Eastern Michigan University in clinical psychology with an emphasis in healthcare systems management.  Dr. Kowalkowski’s pre-doctoral internship training was completed at Wayne State School Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. She also holds certification as a doctoral-level board certified behavior analyst. Dr. Kowalkowski serves as behavioral medicine faculty for the Grosse Pointe Family Medicine Residency Program. Her clinical/research interests include integrated primary care, anxiety disorders, medical education, acceptance and commitment therapy, and women’s health.


Elizabeth Blunden, M.D.

Dr. Blunden received a BSN from Michigan State University. She obtained her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Sinai Hospital. She supervises the educational and clinical components of obstetrics and gynecology at the Family Medicine Center.

    Nikola Conrad, M.D., MPT
Assistant Professor, Oakland University School of Medicine

Dr. Conrad received her undergraduate degree from Thomas Edison State College in Foreign Languages.  She continued her studies at MCP-Hahnemann University where she received a Master's in Physical Therapy.  After 10 years of physical therapy practice, Dr. Conrad changed her focus to  pursue a career in medicine. She attended St. George's University School of Medicine in Grenada and completed her residency training at St. John Providence in Southfield, Michigan. During residency, Dr. Conrad developed a special interest in working with obstetric patients as part of her family medicine career. In addition to obstetrics, she enjoys musculoskeletal assessments and treatment and is proficient in performing a variety of office procedures.

Sumit Fogla, M.D., MBA, FAAFP

Dr. Fogla received his undergraduate and obtained his medical school degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He completed his family medicine residency at Wayne State University. He has recently completed his MBA in Healthcare from Oakland University. His interests in academic medicine lead him to the family medicine residency programs, initially at Doctors' of Michigan and now Beaumont. He has been honored with “Teaching Physician of the year: 2009-2010 and 2012-2013. Dr. Fogla is a strong advocate for patient centered medical care, with the goal of providing the best possible quality health care to his patients. His special interests include preventive medicine, chronic disease conditions, hospital medicine, diabetes and obesity treatment.
