Applications are now being accepted for the 2018 Beaumont Physician Leadership Academy.  BPLA is designed to identify and develop physicians who will provide leadership to better service our patients, our communities and our physician colleagues. BPLA provides practical learning opportunities for excellent clinicians to enhance their effectiveness as leaders throughout Beaumont Health in multiple projects, process improvement initiatives, service lines and organizational leadership positions.

Beaumont Health considers completion of BPLA an advantage for physicians seeking leadership positions within the organization.

Fellows will be selected by a group of BPLA alumni and administrators led by David Walters, DO, senior vice president, Beaumont Health Physician Partners for Beaumont Health.  BPLA is free of charge and CME will be offered.

Classes are held monthly from February through October at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills.

Physicians interested in learning more about BPLA and the application process are encouraged to print and review the following documents:

To apply to BPLA, complete the following by Friday, Nov. 10:

  • Review and sign Memorandum of Mutual Commitment and Attendance Policy
  • Provide a brief statement regarding your interest in BHPLA, identifying any leadership experience you have had in your training, practice, hospital or community.  Include a name(s) for an endorsement of your candidacy for BHPLA.  Consider a hospital chief medical officer, hospital medical staff president or chief of staff, program director, Chief Academic Officer/Designated Institutional Officer (Director of Medical Education), hospital president or BMG leadership.  We will follow up with them.
  • Provide a copy of an updated CV or resume
  • Email completed documents to Jeanne.sarnacki@beaumont.org or fax Tina Pajak at 248-551-8446 by November 10.
