Since Beaumont’s first kidney transplant in 1972, our specialists have performed more than 2,300 adult kidney transplants.

In 2015, Beaumont received 496 referrals to its kidney transplant program, resulting in 85 adult kidney transplants.

Patient survival rates for kidney transplant at Beaumont consistently exceed national averages. In fact, Beaumont ranked #1 in the nation for patient survival at 1 year post kidney transplant according to the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients Program-Specific Report (June 2015). The SRTR reports adjust for donor and recipient risk-factors.

Based on SRTR data, Beaumont has the shortest time to adult kidney transplant in southeast Michigan from 2010 - 2015.

Beaumont has been consistently been placed in the 99th percentile for patient satisfaction by the Press Ganey standardized national Transplant Specialty surveys.

Since Aug. 31, 2010, Beaumont’s Liver Transplant Program has performed more than 80 adult liver transplants.

Since Aug. 31, 2010, Beaumont’s Liver Transplant Program has performed 17 combined liver kidney transplants.
