Mike Tocco, Dipl. O.M., Registered Nurse

Mike is nationally board certified in both acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. He graduated with a Masters degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, a highly respected and nationally accredited institution in Chicago. Mike is also a Registered Nurse and has been practicing since 2007 which has provided him with experience in patient care in a hospital setting.

Mike has experience in treating patients for a wide variety of conditions including pain management, musculoskeletal disorders, headaches, allergies, gastrointestinal disorders, infertility, and psycho-emotional conditions. Mike has an interest in providing support to oncology patients. On a personal note, Mike is highly conversant in Spanish language.

Monique Wiard, Dipl. O.M.

Monique is a Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac) in the State of Michigan and a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Indiana. She is nationally board certified in Acupuncture (NCCAOM) and received her Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She has worked in a multi-disciplinary, hospital-based, and complimentary medicine settings treating a wide variety of patients from pediatrics to geriatrics. Monique has experience using Chinese Medicine to help patients manage many conditions including chronic pain, psycho-emotional issues and maternal health, but also believes that there are tremendous benefits for using acupuncture for wellness and balance. 


Jeffrey Rogers, Dipl. Ac.

Jeffrey completed his training in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine at the Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine located in Denver, Co, and his undergraduate education at Wayne State University in Detroit, Mi. Jeffrey is nationally board certified in acupuncture and is a member of the Michigan Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and the American Association of Oriental Medicine. He has been practicing in the Metro Detroit area since 1999. Jeffrey uses acupuncture and its related therapies to create balance in the body thus releasing one’s own full healing potential. Jeffrey has experience in treating a wide range of conditions including allergies, headaches, reproductive system issues in men and women, acute and chronic pain, and general health and well-being.

Troy and Beaumont Health & Wellness Center

Jason Gauruder, Dipl. OM, Registered Acupuncturist

Jason Gauruder received his Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine in Portland, Oregon.  He is board certified in oriental medicine by the NCCAOM. 

Jason interned at the Shiga University of Medical Science in Japan and completed a residency program at the Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine.  Following his residency, he worked with the Acupuncture Relief Project at a rural clinic in Kathmandu, Nepal, where he and his team treated over 100 patients per day.  Prior to joining the Beaumont Integrative Medicine department, Jason worked with the Henry Ford Center for Integrative Medicine.

Jason has extensive knowledge on the use of Chinese herbal medicine and is a firm believer that Chinese medicine is a longevity medicine that works on the bio-physiological level to create real change and promote long term well-being.

Kylie A. Roach, M.Sc, MSTOM, Dipl.OM, L.Ac

Kylie A. Roach spent several years in scientific research at the University of Toledo (Health Science Campus) where she obtained her Masters in Biomedical Science (M.Sc). Wanting to be more involved in patient care, she pursued training in Traditional Chinese Medicine at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. There she completed a Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) and became a nationally certified Diplomat of Oriental Medicine (Dipl.OM).

After extensive training in Chicago, Kylie moved to Northwest Ohio and practiced acupuncture in a medical office providing supportive therapies to cancer patients. She then transitioned her practice over to a medical wellness spa working alongside other complementary and alternative medicine providers. Over the years Kylie has used acupuncture to aide in the treatment of such conditions as anxiety, gastrointestinal issues, weight loss, infertility, with specialization in the treatment of chronic pain. She has previously worked with the Ehlers-Danlos National Foundation where she has written on the use of acupuncture for pain management and has spoken at their annual conference.  She also has certifications and training in specialties such as facial rejuvenation acupuncture and orthopedic needling techniques.
